Leafy Vegetables in the Tayyibat Diet

Leafy vegetables in the Tayyibat Diet

Leafy vegetables are prohibited, including:

●      Lettuce

●      Lettuce leaves

●      Cabbage

Dr. El-Awady emphasizes that God created grapes to be eaten, but grape leaves are not suitable for human consumption. He explains that these large leaves, even if finely chopped in a grinder, do not become liquid. If they are used as a stuffing for any filling, they may cause obstruction, as they can interfere with colon motility.

Even a healthy colon may become strained by them.
