Tea and Coffee in the Tayyibat Diet: Purity Claims and Digestive Controversies

Tea and coffee in the Tayyibat Diet

Dr. El-Awady states that tea, as a beverage, is rejected in the Tayyibat Diet because it affects the container it is placed in, as it is observed to stain the cup. Regarding Turkish coffee, it is emphasized that it should be pure and free from impurities, as much of what is sold today as coffee may actually be made from roasted peas, date pits, or other materials that are ground together, which directly harms the stomach.

These materials such as peas are inherently unsuitable and can cause clear damage to the digestive system.

Pure Turkish coffee does not produce the staining effect seen with tea. Tea, on the other hand, leaves its effect on the mouth, stomach, teeth, tongue, intestines, and colon. For this reason, many people who consume large amounts of tea suffer from constipation and digestive pain .
